Project Revolution:YOUTH, previously known as 'Four Seasons' - Youth Committee, is a group of young people from the rural area of South Holland, Lincolnshire, who have been working together on projects, both local, regional and national since 2005. The group itself works together to listen to the problems and issues of other young people in the area and tries to solve those issues by creating international activities in which as many young people from the area can be involved as much as possible. Having previously created safe spaces for young people in our local areas, organising local events such as ‘Spalding has talent’, competing in regional activities as organised by the Rotary group, working together and alongside the Hungarian Teenager Parliament to see the foundations and a great success of our very own youth council put into place and amongst many others ensuring that al of the disadvantaged young people in our area are given the opportunity to make their lives different. (When talking about disadvantaged young people it includes not only those who are facing problems with social inclusion but also those who are facing domestic problems, geographical limits and who are facing problems in understanding the increase of migrant workers in our area and therefore facing cultural barriers.)
As a group we are working together attending training camps to give our young people the best possible start in life, fundraising not only for our own charity but also for those such as Marie Curie Cancer Care and Help for Heroes. The Group is at present supported by many secondary schools in the area, the local TAP (Transnational activity partnership group) amongst many.
